LONG time...no CHAT!

Okay..so I have been silent on here. It's not that I don't have anything to say (believe me, if you are around me in everyday life...you would agree!). Nothing too terribly earth shattering really is going on. I mean, for goodness sake, I went to the GROCERY store tonight (it's Friday); I really need to get a life! LOL Okay, so the grocery store trip was planned for earlier today but was postponed b/c I watched my precious nephew Ethan who was sick with Strep Throat :( Poor buddy! The fun thing was that I was able to baby him all day long! I love doing that! My sis and bro-in-law felt terrible but I love it!! Additionally, I was supposed to go to my LifeGroup picnic planned for this evening but it was cancelled due to weather...so I can explain grocery shopping on Friday night! That's my story and I am sticking to it!
Other than that, things are going. Work is going well. We are crazy busy in the NICU right now!! I really do love what I do *please don't gag* I feel very thankful that I have a job that I actually enjoy most days - I mean, I am no 'Mary Poppins' but I always go back to the fact that I love what I do when I have one of 'those bad days.' Love life...hmmm.... well, since Adam and I broke up now almost 2 months ago. It's been up and down. I always have to remember that things happen for a reason but some days are easier than others. So, if you have any young-er (you know, like 26-38ish) single nice fairly normal *lol* men in your circle send them over my way. I am always up for a blind date and not opposed to long distance dating, either. It's difficult to meet guys at my age (28). I am not a "bar girl" and other areas are limited. Work is out of the question - I work with 90 women and 6 old neonatologists! LOL So, where do you meet quality guys????? That's my question to you...where did you meet your spouse? Please do leave me a little blurb..I love to hear these stories!
Okay...off to sleep for now! Have a blessed evening! Be sure to check back..I may just post something before 2009, if the sun and moon are just right! ;)
Take care!!!

Hi Jen,
I just read your comment on my blog--THANK YOU!
The doc mentioned arthritis, but said he didn't want to 'jump the gun' just yet since I had only had the joint pain for a day at the time. He said that if I'm still hurting by the end of the week, then to come back and they would look into some more possibilities. I really hope it is just a virus....we'll see.
Thanks for your advice and concern. I appreciate it!
BTW--I met my husband totally randomly in Mardel's Christian bookstore. He was helping his friends (they are in a Christian band) sell CD's and I walked by and started asking him about the band. We exchanged names, but then I left and thought we would never see each other again. A week later I went to a movie and saw one of the guys from the band with his girlfriend. I said "hi" and thankfully the girlfriend remembered that Matt had said I was cute, so she got my phone # and said she would call me to invite me to the next concert. I went and saw Matt and we talked again. After that we just kept bumping into each other here and there. We started dating several months later. Totally random, totally God! :) You just never know....

Welcome back! I'm like you, pretty sporatic with the blogging, especially now with a five month old. Let's see... kind of a boring story, but the hubby and I met in college because we both worked at the Marriott hotel (he worked the banquets, I worked in the restaurant). I knew he liked me for quite awhile, but always thought he was 'too nice', if you can imagine that! Then one day I woke up and realized, duh! That's exactly what I should be looking for, a nice guy!
